His nose started bleeding Saturday afternoon so Mom and I carried him to the ER that night. It stopped but his counts were so low that he definately needed a transfusion. The ER doc, Dr. Karl, told us that there was no sense in his being admitted until his blood and plateletts were in house so we left until Sunday when DMH called. He received 4 units of plateletts and 2 units of blood and he said this morning his coloring was good! He has been saying that when he looks in the mirror, Uncle Festus (the Addams Family) looks back at him, but not this morning! YAY! They are on their way to Vanderbulit University Med Center where he will undergo the prelim and harvest of his stem cells.
